He worked with Aaj Tv of Pakistan. He also holds the record of longest serving secretary general of press club of India with three-time terms.[1] He was elected as head of the media persons club of India, and served despite legal opposition.[2] During his time at the Press Club of India, he opposed measures taken by then UPA government to curb the independence of media.[3] Pushpendra also played instrumental role in bilateral relations between India and Pakistan.[4] He campaigned against the controversial articles in Indian Constitution, Article 35A, and Article 370. He founded an NGO, called \"We The Citizens\".
